I discovered after the death of my husband; the predominant question was ‘how did he die?’ I was exhausted, not only from the shock of what had happened or getting by on two hours sleep, but mainly because I felt obliged to answer, and I would repeat my experience over and over.
Thank you for your comment 🙏🏻 I’ve written a lot about when I first met my husband in 2000 and onwards, first holiday, our wedding day... it was very therapeutic and was nice to remember the happier times. It’s just working on improving my writing now and being brave enough to put it out there...
I agree, it would be lovely to be asked ‘how young are you?!’
I don’t want to retire either, are you reading ‘Strength to Strength’ as part of Emma’s book club? I think this will be insightful to rewiring 🤔I’m about half way through it so far... I’m looking forward to discussing it further when she opens a thread about it this month ☺️👍🏻
So you must put it out there when the time is right for you
Have you read any of Cathy Rentzenbrink’s books? The Last Act of Love is the story about the loss of her younger brother when they were teenagers. Plus she has written a fabulous new book called Write It All Down on how to get your life on the page.
Oh and Clover Stroud has just released a book about the loss of her sister. It’s called The Red Of My Blood.
I’ve downloaded strength to strength but I need to get into it!
So many books to read. I’m loving this community. Being able to share our love for writing and reading is the best thing ever
No I haven’t read any of her books, thanks for the recommendation, I’ll add them to my list 😀 Yes there are too many 📚 if only I didn’t need to work, I’d read and write all day 📖 I only joined a few weeks ago and I’m loving it too ❤️
I love the reframing of the question to focus on his life and not his passing x
Amazing! How did they live?! So so important.
I too love the idea of hearing more about how he lived 💗
Thank you for your comment ❤️❤️❤️ I’m working on it 😊👍🏻😘
I love the idea of writing more about How did he live? You should !
I’m fast approaching 50 and I’m super cool with it, but it’s like when people ask how old are you, what about how young are you? !
Oh and another similar topic that I like to reshape with creative thinking and writing is...
Looking forward to rewiring as I don’t want to retire

I’d love to read all about your life journey.
